UPDATE 2014: Looking to hike the Narrows?  Then you'll also want to read the latest here => http://www.chrisdickinsonphotography.com/blog/2014/3/hiking-zions---pine-creek-canyon-permit-only

This weekend my wife and I drove down to Zion National Park for a little getaway.  One of the most popular hikes in the park is The Narrows.  I haven't been able to definitively find the mileage, however, several different websites state that from the drop off point (Temple of Sinawava ) to the junction of Wall and Orderville, it's 2.5 miles, 5 roundtrip.

The trip is two hours up and two back - at times you're waist deep in water, and if you wish, you can swim (I did).  There's even a large rock that you may jump off of into the river - disclaimer here, jump at your own risk!

We hiked from roughly 12pm to 4pm (round trip) and I would do it again, in a heartbeat.
